Why I Started In Precious Hands

In Precious Hands grew out of everything I saw over years of caring for people: residents and patients who deserved more attention, more advocacy, and more dignity than the system was set up to give. I knew there was a better way to care for people, and that became In Precious Hands.

My Path in Healthcare

I started as a Certified Medical Assistant in 2005, then worked as a CNA I and CNA II. My CMA training took me into phlebotomy, lab work, and eventually running the lab at a primary care office. I earned my associate degree, then my BSN, and began my RN career as a float nurse at a regional hospital straight out of school. I later spent about two years as a travel nurse while working PRN at that same hospital. At every stage of my career, I’ve also worked in home health and private duty nursing, caring for patients in their own homes.

Today

Over 20 years in, I support Family Care Home owners, nurses, and patients and families with practical, plain-language guidance. I’m an NCDHHS-approved PCA instructor and a Nurse Practitioner candidate (2026).

Faith and Family

I’m a Christian, a wife, and a mother of four, and my faith leads everything I do. God is love, and we are all His children, so I care for every patient and client with the same love He shows each of us.
